This publication explores the work in progress of Berlin-based Danish painter Christian Thomsen (Fjorsk), bringing together materials from the pre-phase of a painting. It features artist sketches, references, scans, and pressed-flat residue — fragments from an ongoing novel tracing ambient threat, pleasure-seeking, concealment, and the social performance of survival. More a marginalia of the nervous system than a catalogue, the publication unfolds as a collection of evidence shaped by contemporary life.
